Chicago, city of lights.
Watching the weather today about the big snow storm heading towards Chicago and would like to be there for that. We haven't been in a big storm for a few years and it's nice.............when you don't have to be someplace. Of course, if you are working it's definitely not nice to have to travel in it but the years we spent in Michigan made us appreciate the beauty of a snow storm.
Not that I was too crazy about it when it took me four hours to plow the road leading up to our isolated home but after that was done it was great to go out cross country skiing and see all the beauty the storm had created. My favorite place was down in the valley below our house, a valley filled with tall cedars, and it was nice to sit under one and watch the snow come down. I had a pair of old plaid, thick wool snow pants from the 1940's that I bought from St. Vinny's, a second hand store, and I could sit for hours in cold temperatures without being cold. Ah, those were good times.
Here we have little snow, warm temps. and nothing in the forecast for snow. Not a very exciting winter so far.

Tutaj mamy mało śniegu, ciepła temps. i nic w prognozie na śniegu. Nie bardzo ekscytujące zimy do tej pory.
